Our Initial Teacher Training (ITT) trainees spend one day a week in Teach West London's training centre and four days a week in a placement primary or secondary school. This enables our trainees to get valuable, hands-on experience in a classroom setting and become part of a school community from day one.
Yes, you can choose your preferred school when applying. After we receive your completed application, we will ask for three alternative schools in priority order. We’ll do our best to place you in your preferred school or, if unavailable, one of your alternative choices.

Are you interested in partnering with Teach West London to become an ITT placement school?
As an accredited ITT Provider, Teach West London aspires to be a beacon of educational excellence, ensuring that schools in West London (especially in the London Boroughs of Ealing, Harrow, Hillingdon, Hounslow) and beyond are continually enriched with high quality teachers, whose skills have been nurtured and refined in the classroom.
Through our fully school-centred initial teacher training programmes, we provide our trainee teachers with high quality professional development through full immersion into the different roles of a teacher. In doing so, we aim to lay a strong foundation for a long-term career in teaching.
During the year, our aim is for each trainee teacher to develop into a resilient, reflective, skilled and confident practitioner so that by the end of the ITT year each trainee teacher is recommended for Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and in doing so is ready to become an Early Career Teacher (ECT).
As a placement school, you will have access to a source of talented Early Career Teachers and also a financial reward for hosting fee-funded trainees (unsalaried).
Teach West London are delivering ITT programmes leading to either QTS only or QTS and PGCE in both Primary and Secondary phases. Courses in both employment-based (salaried) and fee-funded (unsalaried) routes are available.
