Pursuing a career in teaching can be incredibly rewarding, but the financial challenges of a 9-month training program might feel overwhelming. We’re here to help.

Teach West London is working with our network of partner schools across West London to offer unique school paid bursaries. School paid bursaries are likely to range from £2,000 - £10,000 and may be available across a range of primary, secondary and special school settings.

If you would like us to contact you when we publish the list of Schools offering school paid bursaries, please complete the form below to register your interest.

How will school paid bursaries work?

Payment schedule: The school paid bursary is likely to be paid monthly and is dependent on the host school judging the trainee to be making satisfactory progress.

Commitment: Any trainee receiving a school paid bursary would be expected to remain at the school at least until the end of the school’s summer term in July 2026.

Responsibility: Payment of the bursary is the responsibility of the host school (as opposed to Teach West London) and would be discussed at your interview.

Loan eligibility: A Teach West London school paid bursary will NOT affect your eligibility for either the tuition fee loan or maintenance loan (see here for more information about these loans).

Teach West London’s placement schools

Some of our schools are not able to offer school paid bursaries but are equally committed to supporting the next generation of teachers by offering valuable school placements.
